A native of Ireland, Paul R. Buckle is a writer, philosopher, and artist whose work in fiction and non-fiction explores the individual and collective impact of contemporary culture. Writing both as Paul Buckle and Paul Baden, he is the author of seven diverse books that tackle this issue, including a collection of philosophical essays, a three-act play, and works of fiction such as Lobe and Cecil and the Little Lord.
A founding member and current moderator on The Philosophy Forum, where he writes under the name Baden, Paul has been an active contributor for over a decade. His intellectual pursuits center on education, language, and the philosophy of technology. These interests are complemented by a 20-year career as an academic and technical writing instructor, including at Durham, Nottingham Ningbo, and Thammasat universities.
Paul is also an amateur musician, photographer, and comic artist; his original music and visual documentation of Bangkok and Samut Sakhon can be found at paulrbuckle.com along with the philosophical webcomic ”Discourse is Death” . His full collection of books is available free here at rogaire.com, and his formal papers and teaching documents can be accessed via Academia.edu. Paul`s current major philosophical / art project involves the construction of an online “enzymatic knowledge machine”. This EKM is now open for public submissions.
